Our Story
Founded in 1970, Zona Seca emerged from the collective efforts of Latino residents and UCSB students who recognized the urgent need for accessible health care services in Santa Barbara. With the support of the Santa Barbara Medical Society, a Community Health Task Force was formed to address the health care needs of the East Side community. Over the past 50 years, Zona Seca has dedicated itself to reducing substance abuse through education, intervention, and counseling.
