Fund to Help Los Angeles Wildfire Victims
Reconstructing What Has Been Lost
Fires raging in Los Angeles have caused havoc in the lives, homes, and businesses of thousands of people. It was the Santa Ana winds that supplied the fire with sufficient amount of oxygen, leaving very little time for communities to escape. Families have lost everything, and the road to recovery is long and challenging.
These fires have burned over 30,000 acres of land, spreading by the willpower that unparalleled winds possess. The fires have destroyed over 1,000 homes and displaced thousands of families and many without basic necessities. Entire neighborhoods are razed to the ground; schools, hospitals, and community centers reduced to ashes, very little, squalid infrastructure is all that's left.
Aside from physical destruction, the environmental toll is staggering. Smoke and soot have caused major air quality problems and created health hazards in communities throughout the region. Animal habitats have been obliterated and it would take another prolonged making-recovery time to repair the ecological damage done. The financial loss is estimated to exceed 52 billion dollars, making it the costliest and most destructive wildfire in Los Angeles history.
Traumatically stretched thin from fires that run around the clock, rescuers are stretched beyond limits while putting their lives on the line to rescue others. Several of those communities were still in the evacuation-and-survival stages as the need for immediate relief and long-term recovery assistance continued to rise.
Through your continued efforts, we will help to rebuild the lives of the affected families to allow them to come out on the other side and rebuild their community. All funds collected will go to respectable organizations that make a real difference in the lives of wildfire relief efforts.
