Our Story

In May 2003, Kim Hammonds was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer at the age of 35. During her treatment, she met an art student volunteer at The University of Michigan Cancer Center, which inspired her to create The Zoe Foundation. After Kim's passing in June 2022, her legacy continues through her daughter, Zoe Hammonds, who now leads the foundation.

Impact

The Zoe Foundation has been instrumental in funding art therapy programs for cancer patients, providing emotional healing and creative outlets during their treatment journeys. Thousands of patients and families have benefited from these initiatives, as highlighted by testimonials from healthcare professionals.
