Our Story

Zia Larson’s Ray of Light Foundation was founded in October 2016, inspired by a mother’s love to honor her son, Zia. Diagnosed with schizophrenia during his freshman year at Loyola Marymount University, Zia faced immense mental anguish before his untimely passing on April 24, 2010. The foundation is dedicated to inspiring hope for those struggling with mental illness and advocating for essential mental health solutions.
