Our Story

Za'kiyah House is a black-led organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, drug addiction, and reentry from incarceration in Pittsburgh. Founded in 2016 by Ronna Davis-Moore, it began as an annual event aimed at helping those struggling with addiction. Recognizing the interconnected challenges of addiction, homelessness, and recidivism, Za'kiyah House opened its first supportive housing residence in 2018 and expanded its efforts in 2022 with a new house for women and a series of workshops.

Our Impact

Za'kiyah House aims to reduce homelessness, recidivism, and addiction through caring relationships and holistic community support, empowering individuals to find freedom and live to their potential.
