Zaina Foundation

Our Story

After witnessing the dire circumstances faced by young, orphaned, and underprivileged children, Urooj Waheed and Sobia Ali felt compelled to embark on a life-long mission to assist children in need. This passion led to the establishment of the Zaina Foundation, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. In 2013, the Foundation opened Zaina’s Home, its first fully-functional orphanage in Hyderabad, India. Named after their eldest daughter, Zaina’s Home currently provides shelter, clothing, food, education, and healthcare to over 300 young girls.

Impact

The Zaina Foundation is dedicated to providing essential services to over 300 young girls, with plans to expand its initiatives to accommodate more than 1,000 children in the near future.
