Our Story

Founded in 1868, the YWCA of Western Massachusetts has dedicated over 150 years to providing shelter, support services, and self-sufficiency tools for women and girls. As one of the largest local YW Associations in the U.S., it serves nearly 2,000 individuals annually, fulfilling its mission to eliminate racism and empower women.

Impact

Each year, the YWCA of Western Massachusetts impacts the lives of over 11,895 clients through essential programs, including domestic violence services and youth support. In 2022 alone, the organization received 6,516 calls to its 24/7 hotline, offering critical assistance to those facing domestic violence and homelessness.
