Our Story

Founded in 1969 by Susan Dynes Minton, Youthnet began as Skagit Ranch Group Homes, a response to the urgent need for structured living environments for teenagers. With the collaboration of concerned citizens, juvenile court representatives, and social service agencies, Youthnet established its first group home for boys, followed by a girls' home in 1971. Over the decades, Youthnet has evolved, adapting to changes in state policy and the needs of the community, transitioning from group care to a focus on foster care and family preservation.

Impact

Today, Youthnet serves 15 counties in Washington State, providing essential social and educational services that help children, youth, and families grow, heal, and thrive.
