Founded in 2002, YouthBuild Newark (YBN) has been at the forefront of empowering disconnected young people aged 16 to 24 in Newark, New Jersey. With a mission to help these individuals earn their General Educational Development (GED) certificates while gaining valuable on-the-job experience, YBN has made significant strides in community development. Under the visionary leadership of Robert Clark, the first YouthBuild graduate to establish a program in a major city, YBN has fostered collaborations with local and national community-based organizations (CBOs) to address critical issues such as education, housing, and employment.
