Gleanings for the Hungry

Our Story

Gleanings for the Hungry, a mercy ministry of Youth With A Mission, was founded in 1982 with a mission to feed the hungry of the world both physically and spiritually. Starting with processing cull fruit that would otherwise go to waste, Gleanings has expanded its efforts to produce dehydrated soup mixes from donated products. This growth has allowed the organization to process millions of pounds of food and distribute it to impoverished areas globally, all free of charge to partner ministries.

Impact

In 2015 alone, Gleanings for the Hungry produced over 53 million servings of soup, shipped to more than 30 nations, significantly impacting lives and spreading the Gospel of Christ.
