In a world where many young people are often distracted by technology and academic pressures, Youth Voices provides a platform for them to express their thoughts and ideas.

Founded in 2020, Youth Voices emerged from the recognition that many students lack access to speech and debate opportunities. The organization offers a vibrant community of like-minded individuals passionate about persuasion, along with experienced coaching that is unparalleled in Illinois. From free online club sessions to professional tournament preparation classes, Youth Voices meets students at their level, ensuring that everyone has the chance to develop their skills.

What sets Youth Voices apart is its commitment to being a student-led organization. Every lesson and activity is designed with the needs of students in mind, fostering an environment where they can thrive. To date, Youth Voices has successfully helped over 200 students find their voices and use them effectively.

Impacting Lives Through Access and Opportunity

Since its inception, Youth Voices has hosted over 60 free online club sessions, providing a safe space for students to practice and hone their skills. Additionally, the organization has conducted four free in-person workshops in the Chicagoland suburbs, offering invaluable practice opportunities. Recognizing the financial barriers that some students face, Youth Voices has allocated nearly 50% of its operating budget to the Youth Voices Opportunity Scholarship, ensuring that no student is denied access to learning or competitive opportunities.
