Our Story

Founded in 2010, Youth Run NOLA emerged from a group of passionate educators who believed in the transformative power of running. This grassroots initiative has grown into a vibrant nonprofit, engaging hundreds of youth and families in New Orleans each year. The spirit of community drives every step taken, fostering connections and personal growth through the joy of running.

Impact on the Community

Since its inception, Youth Run NOLA has positively impacted over 5,000 local youth, instilling a love for fitness and personal achievement. With comprehensive training programs, 270 young runners have successfully completed a half marathon. The organization proudly employs 17 alumni, empowering them to lead and inspire future generations. With over 600 dedicated volunteers contributing more than 44,000 hours, the collective effort showcases the strength of community action.
