Our Story

Founded in 2011 in rural Oregon, Youth Rising began as an incubator project led by Tasha Locks and a group of passionate youth. The organization is dedicated to empowering transitional-aged youth, ages 12-21, through innovative peer-led programs that tackle critical challenges in mental and behavioral health, housing, education, and workforce training.
