Founded in 1945 by returning WWII veterans, Youth for Christ Hawaii is a pioneering chapter of the national Youth for Christ movement. Initially focused on large rallies for evangelism, the organization evolved in the 1960s to emphasize relational evangelism through Campus Life ministries. Today, YFC Hawaii serves youth aged 11-19, fostering character development and guidance across the islands.
Currently, Youth for Christ Hawaii operates 19 Campus Life clubs in Oahu public high schools, reaching over 1,350 students annually. With a dedicated team working weekly with more than 610 students, YFC Hawaii focuses on enhancing academic performance, promoting school participation, and addressing behavioral challenges.
