Our Story
Founded in 2018 by Kendra Van de Water and James Aye, YEAH Philly emerged in response to rising youth violence and the absence of culturally relevant organizations for teens. Recognizing the link between poverty, opportunity, and violence, YEAH aims to provide essential services that meet the immediate and long-term needs of young people in West and Southwest Philadelphia.
Our Impact
YEAH creates safe and authentic hangout spaces for teens, implementing peer-led interventions that address the root causes of violence and disrupt the cycle of youth community violence.
