Founded in the mid-1970s by Dorothy Stoneman, Youth Action YouthBuild (YAYB) is dedicated to building a community of young people and adults across New York City. With a focus on East Harlem, YAYB provides essential support and resources to help youth take responsibility for their lives and improve their communities.

Impacting Lives

YAYB has a proven track record, with 74% of enrollees obtaining their high school equivalency and/or vocational credentials. Additionally, 54% have pursued postsecondary education or secured jobs, while 73% have maintained job placements for at least six months.
