The Young Women's Christian Association of the Greater Capital Region (YWCA-GCR) is dedicated to advocating for systemic solutions and institutional change to address the disparities faced by women and girls of color. In times of crisis, women turn to YWCA-GCR for safe and affordable housing, essential resources like food and clothing, victim advocacy, addiction support, job training, and career counseling. With a commitment to providing transitional and permanent housing, YWCA-GCR offers a comprehensive 360° of support, empowering women and their children to achieve their goals and attain self-sufficiency.

Impacting Lives

Each year, 25 to 35 women graduate from the Jamison-Rounds Ready for Work program, with an impressive 86% securing permanent employment or pursuing higher education and trade opportunities.
