Our Story

Established in 1909, YWCA Canton is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women. This organization has evolved its services to meet the changing needs of the community, focusing on housing and early childhood education. YWCA Canton serves a diverse population, providing essential support to marginalized individuals and families, particularly women and girls of color.

Impact

In 2023, YWCA Canton provided direct services and advocacy to 225 adults and 89 children in their emergency shelter. They successfully housed 107 individuals permanently and enrolled 275 children in their Early Head Start program, challenging structural barriers to equity.
