Our Story

Young Women Empowered (Y-WE) was born from the enthusiasm and determination of the young women it serves. In 2010, a successful seven-month pilot leadership program inspired participants to create an organization dedicated to year-round programs for girls and women. Since gaining independent 501(c)(3) status in 2015, Y-WE has rapidly grown into a mid-sized organization, offering innovative programs and events that empower young women and marginalized youth.
