Our Story

Founded in 2000 by Jack and Gloria Bennett, Young Stars Theatre Academy began as a summer camp in Jacksonville Beach, FL. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2004, YSTA evolved into a community theatre dedicated to inclusivity and accessibility for young performers. In 2009, YSTA became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and found its home at the Fremont Centre Theatre in South Pasadena, where it continues to inspire youth through the arts.
