Our Story
In 1963, a dedicated group of Prattville citizens came together to establish a YMCA, inspired by the Montgomery YMCA. Under the leadership of Ray Marshall, they secured a budget of $15,000 and hired the first executive director. Despite initial skepticism about the YMCA's viability in a small town, the organization flourished, offering diverse programs across various locations. Over the years, the Prattville YMCA has expanded its facilities, including a new building in 2000, and continues to adapt to the community's needs with a professional staff.
