Our Story

Founded in 2017 by Lee Goldman, known as 'Miss Lee', the Young Mariners Career Foundation (YMCF) is dedicated to supporting individuals aspiring to become Merchant Mariners and professionals in related fields. With over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, Miss Lee established the Pacific Atlantic Professional Academy (PAPA) to enhance workforce development in maritime industries. Following PAPA's success, YMCF was created to alleviate the financial burdens of training and credentials for aspiring maritime professionals.

Impact

YMCF aims to raise $500,000 this year to provide scholarships and grants to 100 workers seeking training in maritime and lifesaving trades, addressing the workforce deficit in these essential industries.
