Empowering Future Leaders

Founded in 1985, Young Leaders Council (YLC) is dedicated to training the next generation of nonprofit board leaders in Nashville. Through a series of eleven interactive training sessions, participants aged 25 to 40 gain essential skills in governance and leadership. Each participant completes a one-year internship with a local nonprofit, serving as a non-voting member of the board. This unique program has successfully trained over 3,000 young professionals, enhancing their leadership capabilities and expanding their professional networks.

Making a Lasting Impact

YLC alumni have significantly contributed to the growth and sustainability of over 400 nonprofit organizations in the Nashville area, continuing to serve as influential board leaders today.
