Our Story
What began as a small group of family and friends, determined to continue a young boy’s fight against cancer, has evolved into the Young Hearts Foundation. Inspired by Ryan McLaughlin, who was diagnosed with t-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 1998, the foundation was established in 2000 to continue the fight against blood cancer. Officially recognized as a 501(c)3 organization in 2008, the foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of young people affected by long-term illness.
