The York Literacy Institute was founded in 1980 by dedicated community volunteers who recognized the urgent need for adult literacy instruction in York. Utilizing the Laubach Method, the organization has expanded its offerings to include in-person and HyFlex classes, one-to-one tutoring, and various workshops.
