The YMCA of Memphis & The Mid-South has a rich history dating back to 1855, when it was founded as a fellowship for young men united by faith. After overcoming challenges such as the Civil War, the organization was revitalized in 1883 and has since expanded to 11 full facility branches and 3 program branches, serving diverse community needs.
