Our Story

The Yakima Humane Society, founded in 1904, is dedicated to the humane treatment of animals in Yakima County. Through adoption, spay/neuter services, and outreach programs, this organization has been a beacon of hope for over a century.

Impact

Every year, over 10,000 animals are rescued, reunited, rehabilitated, and re-homed, while our Spay and Neuter Clinic impacts the lives of more than 20,000 animals.

As a nonprofit organization, Yakima Humane Society relies entirely on private donations to provide second chances to helpless, homeless animals. The Adoption Center operates solely on these generous contributions, receiving no government funding.
