Our Story

In the 1940s, Father Leibler, an Episcopal priest at St. Christopher’s Mission, initiated a program to gather Christmas gifts and food for the Utah Navajo. This spirit of community continued through the years, leading Kenneth Maryboy to revive the program in the 1980s. By the mid-1990s, more volunteers joined, transforming it into what is now known as Navajo Santa.

Impact

Navajo Santa enhances the lives of Navajo people in southeast Utah by fostering trust and respect between cultures, providing relief, aid, support, and cheer throughout the year.
