Wounded Paw Project: A Mission of Healing
Founded by Purple Heart recipient Ernesto P. Hernandez III and his emotional support dog, Daisy, Wounded Paw Project (WPP) is dedicated to rehabilitating and training shelter dogs, especially those in high-kill situations. This organization believes in the transformative power of love and proper training, pairing these deserving dogs with veterans, service members, civilians, and children in need of companionship and healing.
Impacting Lives Through Compassion
Wounded Paw Project has successfully transformed numerous shelter dogs into emotional support animals, providing them with a second chance at life. By raising awareness about animal abuse and advocating for the adoption of shelter dogs, WPP contributes to a significant reduction in the stigma surrounding these animals.
