Founded in 2008 by Norberto Mujica and a team of Cisco Systems engineers, World Possible addresses the critical lack of usable internet access in underserved regions. The organization developed RACHEL (Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education and Learning), a portable device that provides offline educational content to communities in need.
Impact of RACHEL
RACHEL has transformed educational access for over 521,609 offline learners across 53 countries. In Sierra Leone, students using RACHEL for just four months saw a remarkable 67% increase in English literacy test scores compared to their peers without access.
