Our Story

The World AIDS Museum was founded by Steve Stagon, emerging from the Fort Lauderdale-based support group POZitive Attitudes. Established as a non-profit organization in 2011, the museum opened its doors in 2014 to educate the public and promote cultural programming aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS.

Impact

Through educational programs in Broward County schools and community dialogues, the museum significantly contributes to understanding and reducing HIV/AIDS stigma.
