Our Story

Eugene and Cass, former machine learning engineers at Google, embarked on a transformative journey in the summer of 2020. After realizing the urgent need to address climate change, they left their successful careers to create a community dedicated to finding climate jobs. Along with co-founder Eva Illescas, they established Work On Climate, which has rapidly grown into the world’s largest community of its kind. With tens of thousands of members globally, WoCl has empowered many to pursue meaningful careers that contribute to a sustainable future.

Our Impact

As of April 2023, Work On Climate has successfully assisted over 1,900 members in securing jobs in the climate sector, while fostering a vibrant community of more than 20,000 individuals. The power of connection is evident, as members who engage with the community are twice as likely to find climate-related employment.
