Our Story

Founded in 1972 by Dr. Mrs. Kenneth E. Romanoff and Reverend Mrs. Alex Yelimov, Word to Russia (WTR) has dedicated itself to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the peoples of the Former Soviet Union. Utilizing short wave radio broadcasts, WTR has reached countless individuals behind the Iron Curtain, growing from humble beginnings without salaried workers or office space to a robust organization supporting persecuted Christians and immigrant populations across the USA, Israel, and Europe.
