Our Story

Founded in 1913 by Mollie Woods, a visionary Philadelphia schoolteacher, Woods Services has dedicated over a century to supporting children and adults with exceptional needs. Mollie’s pioneering spirit led to the establishment of a unique educational and residential center that emphasized individualized care in a nurturing environment. From its humble beginnings in a farmhouse, Woods has grown into a world-renowned organization, now serving over 600 individuals in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Woods Services is a multi-service population health management and advocacy organization, providing comprehensive health, education, housing, and behavioral health services to more than 4,000 individuals with complex needs. The organization is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in the intellectual and developmental disability, child welfare, and brain trauma sectors.
