The Woods Project creates unique wilderness exploration experiences for Houston high school students, particularly those from low-income backgrounds. By partnering with local high schools, TWP provides students with access to positive role models and new perspectives through outdoor adventures.

Measuring Impact and Growth

Beginning in Summer 2023, The Woods Project utilized Hello Insight to assess the personal growth and leadership development of student participants. The results revealed significant improvements in social and emotional learning capacities, including emotional management, goal setting, empathy, and relationship building.
