Our Story
Founded in 1967 by Alan and Katrina Rich, Woodfords Family Services began with a vision for better educational services for their son, Jimmy. Supported by four other families, they opened the first school, which grew rapidly from 5 to 200 students. For over 55 years, Woodfords has honored this legacy by providing high-quality supportive programming to individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Maine.
Our Impact
Woodfords Family Services serves over 2,000 children, youth, and adults with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and mental health diagnoses across Maine. The organization offers a wide array of clinical, educational, behavioral health, residential, community, and family support programs.
