Our Story

The Woodbury Community Foundation began in 2003 as 'Friends of Woodbury' when a dedicated group of citizens raised funds for a piano for Central Park. This grassroots effort blossomed into a community-focused nonprofit foundation, achieving 501(c)(3) status in 2006. Over the years, the foundation has evolved to address pressing community needs identified through surveys, developing various initiatives to support youth, jobs, housing, and food security.

Our Impact

With over $1.5 million in assets, the Woodbury Community Foundation runs six impactful community programs, including the Community Academy and the Woodbury Racial Equity Collaborative, aimed at improving life in Woodbury through philanthropy and community engagement.
