The Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed Association (WPWA) was established in 1983, driven by a community's passion for protecting the unique resources of the Wood and Pawcatuck Rivers. This organization has grown from a small group into a nationally recognized conservation agency, achieving significant milestones such as the establishment of a full-time executive director and designation as the Watershed Council for the region.
