Our Story

Founded in the summer of 2019, Wood County Plays was inspired by the personal experiences of co-founders Ryan and Kaley, whose son Grant faced challenges at traditional playgrounds due to his walker. Recognizing a recreational gap for children with disabilities, they rallied a team of professionals and families to design and build inclusive play spaces. The first playground opened in July 2021 after raising over $800,000, marking a significant milestone in community engagement.
