WomenSave

Our Story

WomenSave was founded on the belief that goal-based savings can empower women who are underserved by the formal financial system. Inspired by years of experience in international development, our founder, Marie Mintalucci, recognized the need for a risk-free tool to enhance financial health. With support from Global Partners for Development, WomenSave conducted market research and launched a pilot project. In 2021, WomenSave became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States and an international NGO in Uganda, ready to economically empower thousands of women sustainably.

Our Impact

WomenSave has successfully onboarded 2,643 women to mobile banking, saved over $218,013, and facilitated the achievement of 4,035 financial goals, showcasing significant strides in empowering unbanked women.
