Empowering Survivors of Domestic Violence

The Women's Shelter and Support Center was founded in the late 1970s by three courageous survivors of domestic abuse, alongside the Rochester Chapter of NOW. Their mission was clear: to create a safe haven for women and children escaping violence. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to include children's advocacy, transitional housing, and an International Shelter tailored for immigrant women and their children.

Making a Lasting Impact

Today, the Women's Shelter and Support Center continues to adapt to the evolving needs of the community, providing essential outreach, advocacy, and housing for battered women and their children.
