Since 1994, the Women’s Prison Book Project has been dedicated to providing women, trans, and gender expansive individuals in prison with free reading materials. Covering a wide range of topics from law and education to fiction and health, this all-volunteer grassroots organization seeks to build connections with those behind the walls while educating the public about the realities of the prison system.
