Our Story

Founded in 1982 by Jane Alexander and Eileen Reilly, Women's Lunch Place (WLP) emerged from a deep commitment to support homeless women in Boston. Initially serving lunch three days a week, WLP has grown into a vital resource, offering a welcoming space where women can find nutritious meals, advocacy, and community support.

Impact

Each year, WLP serves over 2,200 women facing homelessness and poverty in the Greater Boston area. With a focus on dignity and respect, the organization provides healthy meals and essential services, boasting a remarkable 97% success rate in its Housing & Stabilization Program since 2020.
