The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade was founded in 1992 in response to the needs of women and girls following Hurricane Andrew. With an initial investment of just $5,000, a dedicated group of women set out to fill critical funding gaps in programs aimed at supporting girls and young women. Over the years, the organization has provided nearly $4 million in funding to support almost 500 programs, positively impacting over 75,000 women and girls in Miami-Dade County.
