The Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley was established in 1994 with a mission to amplify the voices of all women and girls in the Greater Rochester Area. By breaking down barriers to success through equitable philanthropy and transformative community partnerships, the foundation aims to create lasting social change.

Since its inception, the Women’s Foundation has awarded over $2 million to programs that positively impact the economic status of women and girls in the region. Annually, the Foundation’s $100K in grant awards leverages almost $2M in additional support for programs serving women and girls.
