The Women’s Collective
EIN: 52-1929922 · Washington, DC
Our Story
Founded in 1987 by Patricia Nalls after personal tragedy, The Women’s Collective began as a lifeline for women living with HIV/AIDS. Recognizing the lack of services tailored for women, Patricia established a support group known as the Coffee House, which evolved into a nonprofit organization in 1995. The Women’s Collective is dedicated to providing essential support and services to women and girls affected by HIV/AIDS, helping them navigate their health and lives with dignity.
Impact
Over the years, The Women’s Collective has transformed from a single vision into a robust nonprofit focused on HIV care. The organization aims to prevent new infections, identify HIV-positive individuals sooner, and reduce disparities among women and girls disproportionately affected by HIV.
