Our Story
Co-founded in 1981 by a diverse group of African American women in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Women of Visions Inc. stands as the longest-running collective of Black women visual artists in the United States. Established to create opportunities in the traditional art world, WOV, Inc. has sponsored and curated hundreds of exhibitions, gaining national and international acclaim. Through collaborative programming and progressive arts opportunities, the collective enriches all generations, from K-12 students to senior adults.
