Empowering Young Women for a Brighter Future

Women of the Dream was founded by Leslie Morris and Denise Morrison to inspire and empower young women, particularly girls of color, through educational and leadership opportunities. Since 2014, this organization has positively impacted over 3,000 girls in Camden, NJ, by sharing the success stories of Black women graduates of Simmons University.

Making a Lasting Impact

With over $201,200 awarded in scholarships to 81 girls since 2017, Women of the Dream has ensured that all scholarship recipients graduated from college in 2021. The organization also provides essential life skills and career readiness programs for girls in grades 7-12, significantly enhancing their educational and personal development.
