The Women and Children’s Center of the Sierra (WACCS) was founded in 2008 to support women in escaping poverty and improving their lives and the lives of their children. Located in the Sierra region, WACCS provides a variety of client-advised services tailored to individual needs, including educational and life skills classes, a diaper bank, and domestic violence assistance.

Making a Lasting Impact

Since its inception, WACCS has positively impacted the lives of over 4,000 families, with more than 110 women graduating from its programs into sustainable careers. The organization focuses on overcoming barriers to employment and enhancing overall well-being.
