Wolf River Conservancy

Our Story

Founded in 1985 by passionate volunteers, the Wolf River Conservancy emerged in response to the threat of a gravel mine along the Wolf River. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the Wolf River and its watershed, fostering a deep connection between the community and this vital natural resource.

Impact

With over 20,000 acres protected, the Wolf River Conservancy has planted more than 60,000 trees and completed 14 miles of the Wolf River Greenway. Their efforts have also led to the removal of 7,700 pounds of trash from the river, showcasing a strong commitment to conservation and community engagement.
